SETISThe Sydney Electronic Text and Image Service
SETIS provides access to a large number of networked and in-house full text databases, primarily but not exclusively, source texts within the humanities. In addition to these literary, philosophical and religious texts the service is engaged in a number of text and image creation projects. The networked texts are sgml-encoded texts converted on the fly to html for display. Many of these are commercially licensed texts and available only to users at the University of Sydney.
The primary purpose of SETIS is to provide a scholarly electronic publishing and digital library platform to support and further the programs and goals of the University and the Library. In achieving this purpose SETIS will
